A 22-year-old Pocatello man died Monday morning after a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 93 north of Rogerson, Idaho State Police said.
The crash was reported at 6:23 a.m. near milepost 21. Police said a northbound 2010 Ford Escape crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2007 Honda Accord.
The Honda driver died at the scene from his injuries. A 38-year-old American Falls passenger in the Honda was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance.
The 50-year-old Ford driver was flown to a local hospital by air ambulance. Authorities did not identify those involved. Everyone in both vehicles was wearing a seatbelt.
Both lanes of Highway 93 were closed for about four hours while the crash was handled.
