Woman Charged After Food Thrown at Pocatello Restaurant Staff

A woman faces a misdemeanor assault and battery charge after food was thrown at staff at Mandarin House of Pocatello.

Employees said a couple returned to the restaurant Thursday, Oct. 22, after picking up a $60 meal. The couple said they disliked the food and requested a refund.

Staff offered a partial refund and a gift card, but the couple refused, yelled at workers and threw food at employees. Restaurant staff then called police.

The man was issued a citation for disturbing the peace. Both individuals are scheduled to appear in court Nov. 19.

Footage of the incident at the restaurant circulated in local groups.
