Watershed Guardians is preparing to host its 14th annual BeaverDamJam fundraiser this Saturday, October 10, at Lookout Point in Old Town Pocatello. The event combines live music, food service, and raffle opportunities to generate revenue for local conservation initiatives.
The nonprofit organization will feature three musical acts performing between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. HillBilly Deluxe is scheduled to open the lineup from 4 to 5 p.m., followed by Almost Famous from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Idaho Soul will close the evening with a set running from 7 to 8 p.m.
Attendees can purchase food from Palate Street Bistro during the event. The organization is also offering raffle tickets for various prizes, including a zip line ride and a soak at the Lava Hot Springs Inn. A 50/50 raffle is available with a current prize pool valued at more than $260.
Tickets for the 50/50 raffle cost $5 each. Other raffle tickets are priced at $1, or attendees can purchase a “beaver tail” spread of tickets for $20. Watershed Guardians, Inc. operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
Funds raised through BeaverDamJam support specific conservation projects managed by the group. The money helps finance BeaverCounts surveys conducted in February and June. Additionally, the proceeds contribute to the construction of artificial beaver ponds and other habitat improvement efforts in the region.
