A woman was hospitalized Thursday night after the compact SUV she was driving rolled over on Interstate 15 in south Pocatello, according to Idaho State Police.
The crash happened around 8:50 p.m. near Century High School, when a northbound Subaru Crosstrek left the freeway and overturned. Pocatello Fire Department crews transported the woman by ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. Her name and condition were not released.
Idaho State Police responded to the scene, and the interstate was partially blocked during the emergency response. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.
Drivers in the area should remain alert, particularly as summer heat can contribute to tire and vehicle stress. The National Weather Service office in Pocatello has also warned of dangerous heat across Southeast Idaho, which can affect road conditions and driver fatigue.
What Comes Next: Idaho State Police will continue their investigation into the cause of the crash. Additional details, including the woman’s condition, may be released as the inquiry progresses. Motorists traveling I-15 through Pocatello are encouraged to drive cautiously and remain aware of changing conditions along the corridor.
