Idaho Police Investigate Fatal Snake River Crash Near Menan

Two people died after a pickup truck plunged into the Snake River near Menan, Idaho, on Tuesday morning. Idaho State Police are investigating the single-vehicle crash that occurred just after 7 a.m. on October 10.

The Ford F350 was traveling southbound on Twin Butte Road when it struck an embankment and fell into the water near the Menan Bridge. The vehicle came to rest upside down in the river.

Emergency responders recovered two victims from the scene. An 18-year-old driver from Rigby died at the location, as did a juvenile passenger from Idaho Falls.

Multiple agencies assisted with the response effort. Personnel from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Rigby Police Department were on scene. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Dive Team also helped recover the vehicle and victims, alongside the Central Fire Department.
