Chubbuck residents and visitors filled the streets Saturday morning for the 2026 Chubbuck Days Parade, a celebration of community spirit and America’s 250th anniversary. Hundreds lined the parade route as floats, classic cars, performers, and community organizations passed by in patriotic displays.
The parade featured entries from local businesses, Scout troops, first responders, and veterans, many decorated in red, white, and blue. Families waved American flags and collected candy handed out along the route, a traditional highlight of the annual event.
Festival and Community Participation
The celebration continued at Cotant Park, where the Chubbuck Days festival drew 66 vendors. Four city departments—including the mayor and City Council, public works, police, and fire—set up booths to connect with residents.
The festivities began Friday night at Stuart Park with a free family movie screening. Simplot sponsored the showing of Pixar’s “Hoppers,” offering a low-cost entertainment option ahead of the main parade event.
The parade and festival reflect Chubbuck’s commitment to marking the nation’s milestone year while building local pride. Events like Chubbuck Days provide opportunities for residents to gather, businesses to engage the community, and city departments to interact directly with the families they serve.
Similar community celebrations continue throughout Southeast Idaho. Pocatello’s August First Friday Art Walk brings downtown businesses together this evening, while Premier Collision Center marked 25 years in Pocatello with a Chubbuck car show.
