Responding officers discovered Denny deceased at the scene and took Didier Tendoy of Blackfoot into custody at the same location.

The Fort Hall Police Department and the FBI are jointly investigating the incident, which has been classified as a possible homicide. As of publication, no formal charges had been filed against Tendoy. The ages of both individuals had not yet been released by authorities.

The shooting is among several recent fatal and serious incidents in the region. Earlier this month, a boy died and an adult was airlifted following a pickup rollover ejection near Fort Hall. Southeast Idaho has also seen other serious traffic-related emergencies in recent weeks.

Investigators with the Fort Hall Police Department and FBI are expected to continue gathering evidence as they determine whether formal charges will be filed against Tendoy. Updates on the case, including any charging decisions, are anticipated as the joint investigation progresses.
