Alleigha Botner took the stand on the fourth day of Caleb Flynn’s murder trial, detailing a years-long secret relationship with the defendant. The jury heard testimony regarding matching tattoos, private getaways, and more than 100,000 exchanged messages between Flynn and Botner.
Prosecutors presented private text messages to the court as evidence. Botner testified that Flynn frequently discussed his wife, Ashley, during their affair. She revealed that Flynn allegedly informed her a major change was imminent hours before Ashley’s death.
Botner stated she received a final message from Flynn before he went to sleep on the night of the killing. She learned of Ashley’s death the following morning.
Investigators also testified regarding physical evidence from the crime scene. They addressed whether damage to the garage door indicated a home invasion. Testimony covered the search for a missing murder weapon and other evidence inside the Flynn residence.
