A pre-dawn fire tore through an office building in the Teton Pines area of Wilson, Wyoming on Monday, injuring one firefighter and prompting a multi-agency response that kept emergency crews on scene throughout the day.
Dispatchers received the first report of the fire at approximately 3:01 a.m. on May 25. When Jackson Hole Fire/EMS and Teton Village Fire Department personnel arrived, they encountered heavy fire conditions at the structure.
One Jackson Hole Fire/EMS firefighter sustained injuries during firefighting operations and was transported to St. John’s Health, where the individual was listed in stable condition. No other injuries to emergency personnel or members of the public were reported.
Fire Contained, Investigation Underway
Officials confirmed the fire remained contained to the office building itself, and no evacuation orders were issued for surrounding properties. Crews continued suppression and overhaul work throughout the day to fully secure the structure and ensure the surrounding area was safe.
The Wyoming State Fire Marshal’s Office joined the response to assist in determining the origin and cause of the blaze. The cause remains under investigation as of Monday.

Lower Valley Energy and the Aspens Water and Sewer District coordinated utilities and infrastructure support during active firefighting operations. The Good Samaritan Mission provided food and water to crews working on scene.
Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Battalion Chief Chris Stiehl credited the collaborative response, noting that every partner organization played a critical role in maintaining a unified and efficient operation. “Our crews remain on scene conducting suppression and overhaul work to ensure the structure is fully secured and the area is safe for the community,” Stiehl said.
Drivers Asked to Avoid the Area
With emergency apparatus and personnel remaining on scene throughout Monday, officials urged drivers to steer clear of the immediate area around the Teton Pines office building. No timeline was provided for when crews would fully clear the scene.
