A woman was discovered dead Tuesday evening inside a burning mobile home near Idaho State University in Pocatello, prompting a joint investigation by city police and fire departments.
Emergency crews responded to a fire at 1935 S. Fifth Ave. — a mobile home park situated close to the ISU campus — at approximately 8 p.m. Firefighters arrived and quickly brought the blaze under control before flames could fully consume the structure, though exterior fire damage was visible on the converted motor home, which served as a permanent residence.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was the sole occupant of the dwelling at the time she was discovered. No other injuries were reported at the scene.
